Multiple: The result of multiplying a number by an integer (not by a fraction).
Product: The answer when two or more numbers are multiplied together.
Factor: Factors are numbers we can multiply together to get another number.
Distributive property: The Distributive Law says that multiplying a number by a group of numbers added together is the same as doing each multiplication separately.
Estimate: To find a value that is close enough to the right answer, usually with some thought or calculation involved.
Regroup: Regrouping is the process used in addition and subtraction. Also popularly known as "carrying" and "borrowing."
Multiplication: The basic idea of multiplication is repeated addition.
For example: 5 × 3 = 5 + 5 + 5 = 15
