VOCABULARY OPERATIONS
Properties: a character or quality that something has
Commutative property: we can swap numbers over and still get the same answer
Identity property: when you add zero "0" to any number, the sum is that number or the same number.
Associative property: it doesn´t matter how we group the numbers, answer is the same in both sides.
Addition: addition is finding the total, or sum, by combining two or more numbers.
Subtraction: taking one number away from another one.
Whole Number: they are the numbers that start in zero (0) until the infinite. Fractions, decimals and negatives are not included.
Strategy: Is the plan you use to solve a word problem or an operation.
Multiplication: it´s a repeated addition.
Division: It´s splitting into equal parts or groups. It´s the result of "fair sharing"
Inverse Operation: the operation that reverses the effect of another operation.
Factors: factors are numbers we can multiply together to get another number.
Multiples: The result of multiplying a number by an integer.
Prime number: when can be divided evenly only by one or itself.And it must be a whole number greater than 1.
Composite Number: a whole number that can be divided evenly by numbers other than 1 or itself.
